Final designs
Here are some of the other final character designs, still unsure about the "Shadow Monster" though.... any thoughts? I'm thinking of making him more of a mist, more smoky.

There are 2 different colors for the "sky fish", I'm leaning towards the white one.... Thoughts?

New *ish!!
Character and Background designs for my Final Year film.
No need to write a long essay on my lack of posts, its been over a year.
I've been bad and now I've gotta do better.
First 4 are rough designs of the night creatures and the woods, where Cody falls to.

Good morning y'all
So I now have a showreel of all my finished work to date. (finally!!)
However I have a confession.... I didnt actually edit it together. a good friend of mine did
because to be honest, I could'nt get a feel for how I would like to cut my animation to the sound, as I felt I need to do more work. But hey at least it's done now, I owe a massive thanks to my mate Robocraig (check her out on deviantart) and this will just push me to do better work.
Anyway enough of the chat, watch the show.
So I've decided that from tomorrow, I'll be posting a daily doodle/ warm-up sketch, so I can mark my progress with becoming a better artist.....'bout time too dontcha think?

Final film from my ABC Diploma days!
So here's my final upload of my old films.
Dreamland is my final animation for my ABC Diploma animation course.
i filmed it the day of the presentation, Very rough, needs work thats why the timing is poor, although my timing is something i'm working on continuously.
To be honest i just wanted to hand in some finished work.
The idea was about a girl who falls asleep after reading a fairytale, but she
imagines she has awoken the fairies and that they fly away with the book and she chases them.
When she gets back she thinks she has imagined it until the spider crawls back up out of the book.
The story was much more complex than that, but I couldn't get my head around how to animate it
so..... lol.

I've finally gotten round to uploading some of my old work!
I like the ideas behind them and enjoyed working on them, they are however still rough and need work. Some more than others, but I'm working on all of those issues, especially timing.

soooo.... here's the thing...
Here's the thing...
I set up this blog to get in the habit of doing and showing my work, good and bad.
However, nothing much has happened except that, I've changed the layout, template and settings, but have yet to post any actual work! why you ask? well..... I've been lazy, procrastinating as usual, but also helping some of my mates to get them going with their work. Funny thing is, by doing that, its helped me to want to do my work and realise something's:
1- I start working after 1-2pm and
2- I work more when I'm busy, with loads to do. Crazy right?
The project I'm working on now is for uni. I have to come up with an idea for a 3-5 min animation and pitch it in Jan 2010. I first had the idea, that I was finally going to do my idea for an animation that I've had for about 10 years or more. But then because I hadnt finished working out the whole story structure (begining and end), I decided to leave that idea till next year, as I could see that it just wasnt going to happen. I dont want to come to the pitch with a half worked out story and confusion. So I scrapped it and decided to adapt a fairytale/nursery rhyme. Red riding hood, is the story I've decided on, and I hope, it's gonna be cool!
As I write this, I'm actually in class. lol, but sometimes change happens when you least expect it.
Whats finally pushed me to start something, anything here is, I got a work placement at "TH1NG" studio so, I was thinking they might ask to see some of my shit.....better get to it, as my Deviantart page is kinda stagnet right now.
Ok so I'm gonna end this first post with my best work to date, which isnt quite finished, but which I will tweak because I want to enter it into the ImagineFX competition.
