Plans....

Hey guys and dolls

Day 4 of my creative entrepreneur plan, still in the first 30 days: developing an entrepreneurial mindset.
Ok so what does this all mean?
Basically I've given myself 9 months to see if I can be a successful creative, "a creative entrepreneur".
This involves all manner of things, such as drawing, making, tax, business advice and so on.
Yeah I know, sounds like a challenge.

Everyone thinks I'll just go into the animation industry as a producer, but I want to see if in 9 months
(pre start-up), I have what it takes to be more creative. So I'm giving myself 30 days to get into it and the rest of the 8 months to see if I have what it takes.... could be interesting. By May 2012 I should be starting to produce some strong work.

I've been updating my all my links and utilizing my "producer skillz" to figure out what I would like to do, what type of creative I might be and more importantly refining project ideas and to-do lists to get this 'ish started.

So stay tuned because as of monday, I'll be posting every day with a specific theme to help keep me focused.

Haven't posted in awhile. Our graduate film is kicking my ass, so I thought I'd post some art from a few years ago. And yes I'm officially admitting to drawing on the uni walls :)

Final designs

Here are some of the other final character designs, still unsure about the "Shadow Monster" though.... any thoughts? I'm thinking of making him more of a mist, more smoky.

 

There are 2 different colors for the "sky fish", I'm leaning towards the white one.... Thoughts?

Any feedback would be appreciated, answers in the comments.

New *ish!!

Character and Background designs for my Final Year film.
No need to write a long essay on my lack of posts, its been over a year.
I've been bad and now I've gotta do better.

First 4 are rough designs of the night creatures and the woods, where Cody falls to.

These last 4 are final designs of the main characters and backgrounds.

Good morning y'all

So I now have a showreel of all my finished work to date. (finally!!)

However I have a confession.... I didnt actually edit it together. a good friend of mine did
because to be honest, I could'nt get a feel for how I would like to cut my animation to the sound, as I felt I need to do more work. But hey at least it's done now, I owe a massive thanks to my mate Robocraig (check her out on deviantart) and this will just push me to do better work.
Anyway enough of the chat, watch the show.




So I've decided that from tomorrow, I'll be posting a daily doodle/ warm-up sketch, so I can mark my progress with becoming a better artist.....'bout time too dontcha think?
